According to a Psych Learning Curve article, in 2015 women made up just 28% of the STEM workforce. One exception is in the field of I/O Psychology. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, over 71% of both master’s degrees and doctorates in I-O psychology conferred between 2019 and 2020 were awarded to women. However, these stats do not reflect how many women are working in the I/O field.
