There is a sense of intrigue when you hear someone say, "I am a Consultant." In the I/O realm, we have so many questions like what line of consulting they do, which companies they work for or have worked for, etc. CIOP and RIOPA are hosting this interactive round table discussion to meet practitioners to get the behind the scenes look of the Glitz & Glamour of Consulting. We would love for you to join us.

To name a few of the Consultants:

Karl E. Arriola, Ph.D. began his previous career in law enforcement in 1986 as Florida State Trooper & Advanced Field Training Officer. In 2001, he was promoted to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Federal Air Marshal, and in 2009 was promoted to Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Transportation & 2013 promoted to Federal Program Manager. From 2010 to 2017 was an adjunct-faculty professor at Cardinal Stritch University, his last appointment at Cardinal Stritch University was a Graduate Programs Chair, in the College of Business & Management. After earning his doctorate in early 2014, Karl decided to open his consulting practice as President of Vectoring Performance Group LLC and became co-founder at Center for Transportation Safety Excellence (CTSE LLC). His practice emphasizes Corporate & Social Responsibility involving state & Federal compliance regulations within organizations. Karl is most willing to volunteer his services in the realm of humanitarian support, advocacy of children and family services. 

Victoria Brown, Ph.D. After seven years of experience leading internal organization effectiveness and leadership development initiatives, Vicki moved to a client-facing consulting role with Hitachi Consulting.  As an Organization Effectiveness consultant, she has spent the past two years primarily focused on change management alongside technology implementations.  She has a PhD from Auburn University, and her consulting superpower is that she can sleep on the plane.  Though based in Chicago, Vicki has an undying fondness for her native Detroit and enjoys relaxing at her cottage in rural Michigan. 

Thomas Mason, Ph.D. is President of TWMason, an executive talent management consulting firm providing assessment, development and coaching services for executives and their teams. Tom has consulted at every level of the leadership pipeline, in just about every industry, on five continents, across the breadth of IO psychology.Tom is a licensed IO psychologist in Tennessee. He received the PhD in IO psychology from the University of Tennessee, with a minor in statistics. He received the BS from Elmhurst College (Illinois) in biology and psychology.  

Stefanie Mockler, M.A. currently a consultant at Vantage Leadership Consulting partners with a diverse set of organizations who are concerned about selecting, on-boarding, developing, and retaining strong leadership talent to achieve their business goals and succeed in an ever-changing business context. She combines her passion for helping others succeed with her strong research background and analytical assessment skills to provide insightful, and future-focused feedback to accelerate leadership growth. Stefanie  is  also  incredibly  passionate  about  supporting,  coaching,  and mentoring women throughout their careers, and ensuring they can achieve their personal and professional goals. As a result, in 2018 she launched a project called the Female Leader’s Edge – an online platform and associated social media accounts. Her mission is to share knowledge, resources, and insights aimed at elevating women into leadership and decision-making roles.

Deborah Murphy, M.A.spent the last 30 years developing skills, careers, leaders and organizations. She has a Master's Degree in Education Leadership in which focused on Adult Development & Mentoring. She leads processes which attract, engage, and develop people's talents most recently as the head of HR for a manufacturing firm. She is currently the Director of the Institute for Organizational Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with three level Masters' Level I/O student consultants on the team.  She is on the Board of Directors for the Organization Development Network of Chicago and Chair an Interest Group for Human Resources Management Association of Chicago.
